My Favourite Summer Trends!

It seems as though we were having a long spring... Cool weather, rainy days, and then BAM! As soon as June 21^st hit and the summer season started, the weather got hot, humid and muggy.  I’ve never been a huge fan of summer, I would rather be freezing and catch a cold, than being so hot you can't think of anything but how greasy your hair and face will look from all the sweating.   The only good thing about this heat (in my opinion anyway) is the clothes that we get to wear!  So, I have compiled a list of my favourite summer items to take my mind off of this sweltering heat!

It's a Friday night, and I have my apartment to myself, so of course I partied.  By partied I mean I watched Funny Face and drank tea alone.  While watching the Audrey Hepburn classic I kept falling in love with the gorgeous outfits she was wearing.  By the end of the movie I was curled up in a ball wishing I could own everything that Audrey wore!  So I decided to make a post about the lust I have for the wardrobe from this movie.

If you're a fan of country music, you know that last night the Academy of Country Music Awards were broadcast live.  Hosted by Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton the show was a major success.  There's something so great about country music award shows; the sense of family, the legendary performances and of course the amazing or not so amazing fashion that comes with any award show!  Since I love watching the red carpets I decided to do another list of my favourite and lest favourite fashion's from last night!

Oscar Night!

As fashion lovers, we all know that The Oscar's is the one night where Hollywood's most glamorous celebrities walk the red carpet in the most outrageous gowns that us normal folk only ever dream of getting to wear! Sure, they hand out awards for movie's, but the red carpet is what it's all about, why else would they spend hours getting ready?  Now, I know the Oscar's happened a few day's ago, but I wanted to post about my favourite, and least favourite looks of the night.  Now I'm not claiming to be an expert on dresses, Rachel Zoe has not yet passed the fashion torch to me, however I do have my opinions and I would love to share them!  Feel free to disagree!

For my very first post I just want to describe the kind of blog I will be running.  I love fashion, interior design, crafts, food and entertainment.  I plan on posting about my views and ideas on such topics!  I hope I help or inspire anyone who comes to my blog, and I hope I can make it as fun and entertaining to read as I can!
